I’ve had a few pairs of Blazer Low Leathers, but here we have a slightly different, and I feel better, version in the Nike Blazer Low 77 VNTG. This shoe is basically a lowtop blazer given the “vintage” treatment similar to the VNTG blazer mids.
Other than the orange “VNTG” Nike Sportswear box, and standard soft flat white laces, these come with no extras. I’m not expecting much more for a basic shoe like this, where simplicity is already key.
I like blazer mids but the issue arises with having to lace them up and get your foot in and out. The Vintage mid has become my favorite style of mid. Now that this has been applied to the lows, it makes them a lot more attractive of a sneaker!
How Are The Materials?
These are mostly leather with a nylon tongue, suede swoosh and suede accents near the toebox. I’m seeing a very smooth finish to the white upper. The suede near the mudguard is rough while the swoosh is a little more smooth. The quality seems basic, but not dissimilar from the VNTG mids. To the touch, the leather feels thin. For a retro sneaker though, it seems good enough for what the shoe is.
How Do Nike Blazer Low 77 Vintage Fit?
The Nike Blazer Low 77 Vintage fit true to size, slightly on the narrow side.
So for me I stick with the size 9.5 I get in 99% of Nikes. While a very basic sneaker in terms of there being no tech in the midsole, there is still an acceptible level of comfort overall. Also, these are easier to get in and out of than their mid-top counterparts.
